Dylate™ has been developed as an liquid alternative to powdered Aluminum Isopropoxide (AIP). AIP is a widely used chemical that works as a catalyst in Meerwein-Pondorf reductions, Oppenauer oxidations, and Tischenko reactions and as a material used in the production of dielectric ceramics. Dylate comes supplied as a 80% active aluminum alkoxide in isopropanol solvent. The carrier solvent may be modified to fit the customer’s specific requirements.
Dylate is a liquid aluminum alkoxide that offers several benefits over powdered AIP:
No dust explosion risk
Consistency – the overall aluminum content is tightly controlled resulting in a more consistent product
Contains no petroleum distillate solvent
